I did a taking CF with you on monday (100 jumping jacks, 75 squats, 50 pushups, 25 burps). I changed it to 25 HSPU, 50 squat, 50 pu, 25 burp. Didn't have a clock. Woke up alot more sore than expected, and had to move 2 tons of wall stone. Seeing todays WOD made me shiver....like tomorrows looks a ton better!

that brought tears to my eyes while reading this to ken. so proud of everyone at this 1 year milestone. can't wait for the new facility to open and for others to experience what we experience everyday. thanks to all the trainers for their encouragement and dedication.

A year ago, I joined Crossfit. I was scared, unfit, and frankly not sure that I could do it, but in the back of my head, I kept hearing ‘if not now, when?’ I wasn’t sure I would survive the first three weeks, learning new exercises and terms I’d never heard before, and the simple fact every fiber of my being ached.

As I reflect a year later, who knew I’d make it past those first three weeks, and now I’m at one year!! Who would have guessed I would be putting those thingamajigs (well, I obviously didn’t learn all the terms) on the end of the bars and working out with them. Who would have guessed I’d be performing dead-lifts, cleans, presses and even jerks? Certainly not me, but the trainers and the other Cross-fitters did!

For the past year, I have been going to Crossfit 4 times a week and coming home bruised and sore. Has it been worth it? A resounding YES! I am stronger, healthier, and have more endurance because of Crossfit. I am inspired daily by the other Cross-fitters on their strength and endurance and have allowed myself to be proud of my own strides rather than comparing myself to others I see as fitter or stronger. I now compare myself to me and feel more toned, stronger, and actually see muscle tone in my arms.

I am so grateful that Ken brought Crossfit to DMH. I’m grateful to the coaches for pushing, encouraging, and coaching me even as I whined as you knew I could do it before I did. I’m grateful to my Crossfit colleagues for their inspiration and encouragement as I couldn’t have asked for a better group to work-out with.

A year ago, I was scared and unfit. Today, I continue to push myself to be the best I can be while encouraging and inspiring others to be their best.

I want to thank every single one of you who have helped play a part in me becoming healthier, more confident, and a happier person.

Michelle,
How long would it take you to run a 400m? Do singles for that amount of time.

I was horribly slow or weak today for some reason. 20:37 (G). I think we should also list the distance ran :) (1.5 mi)

Plan on doing this WOD at home. Going to substitute jump rope singles for 400m run. Any suggestions on how many JR would be comparable to a 400 m run?
