Apparently, I am not cut out for life as a bear.

I should have tried this at RX.

Time was 21:39, went up to 55# on push press (looked back in my journal and my last push press was 25# in Jan)…..and most of all have some pretty bruises on my knees from collapsing towards the end on my burpees. I’m w/Jeff….bear’s need to walk upright more :)

Bears do alot of things I like. I like to hunt…they hunt. I like to fish…they fish. I like my meat rare…they dont cook theirs. They like berries, live in the wild, and are at the top of the food chain in there natural habitat. Take a look at their mastery of the 10 general physical skills. Speed, power, agility, coordination, strength, balance, accuracy, flexibility, stamina, endurance. Maybe we should all be a little more like the bear. ROAR!!!! Oh yeah and don’t you admire that extended rest period they get every year???

working out directly across from Erik helps out alot (I have a bit of a competitive spirit with him) but it’s the motivation I need! The bear crawl is what killed me…my lungs don’t like to expand in that position.

What did I just walk into?! A bear support group?

Rx 15:34. I actually really liked the WOD today. I really liked the near death feeling in ~12hrs!

Well, technically, bears dont do burpees… so, how bad could life be as a bear? :)

Came back to say that 3 hours later im feeling the effects of this workout worse than I have for quite some time, so the bear crawl seems to be very effective.

I agree with Jeff about the effects of the workout. Getting out of my office chair and the first few steps are quite an interesting sight. Pretty sore today…in a good way though!

I don’t go until 6 tonight, but I can tell you I am dreading the burpees more than acting like a bear.

23:55 85# Darin, your should feel bad, if you would have given me a piggy back ride on that one bearcrawl series like I asked I would have beat Kris K.

Trying to get the image out of my head of my husband (Darin) giving another man (Erik)a “piggy back” ride on bear crawls………..

^really……Barry is the one-line king of CFE

And I am now unable to work, thinking of Darin carrying another man around like a horse ride…that is just too funny!! I doubt it could be done with his scapular issues.
