In order to participate in our “WOD” classes, you must complete our our New Member Foundations Course. If you have been a member at another CF gym and been through Foundation/Prep/On-ramp, you are not required to take our new member course.
During your time in our New Member Foundations Course, you will learn the Principles of CrossFit, 9 Foundational Movements of CrossFit. You will also learn different, accessory movements in the areas of weightlifting, gymnastics, and cardio. This will help you to get get accustomed to the organization, structure and pace of the daily WOD class and the community. Each class lasts about 1 hour, but be prepared to stay slightly longer if needed.
Your investment for the New Member Foundations Course includes services such as:
-Excellent coaching and personalized attention
-Providing appropriate movement scaling and modification options to meet your physical ability needs
-Integration and introduction to membership WOD classes and structure
If your availability does not allow for you to complete the Foundations Course, an alternative option is available. You can set up a 1 on 1 Evaluation, which will cover most of the same information as the Foundations Course. The coach performing your 1 on 1 Evaluation will decide if more than one meeting is necessary. 1 on 1 Meetings are an additional $20 per visit, and this price is not credited to the first month of membership.
